Schülke Octeniderm® skin antictions is a highly effective product that was specially developed for the disinfection and antiseptic of the skin. It is often used in medical facilities, clinics and health care to ensure optimal germ reduction before medical interventions, injections or other skin contact applications.

• Preoperative skin anticlaps/postoperative seam supply
• Before laying vascular catheters (e.g. ZVK)
• Before injections, blood sampling, punctures, excisions, cannulas and biopsies
• If there is no special hand disinfectant, OCTENIDERM® colorless can also be used for hygienic and surgical manual disinfection.
• Remanen warnings over at least 48 hours
• Broad antiseptic spectrum of activity (bactericidal including mycobacteria and MRSA, levurozide, fungicide, limited viruzid incl. HIV, HBV, HSV, adenovirus and rotavirus)
• Faster occurrence of activity
• VAH certified

Application notes

Before all invasive interventions

• Spray the relevant skin area/apply it with a soaked swab, ensure complete wetting of the skin and observe the exposure times
• Record excess preparation to avoid puddle formation

For preoperative skin anticlaps 

• Mechanically shorten the hair of the affected skin area
• Preoperative washing (e.g. with OCTENISAN®) is recommended
• To avoid blurring skin markings, only use skin marking pencils with sufficient alcohol resistance (e.g. Devon ™ surgical mini marking pencil (REF 31146020)))

100 g of solution contains: drug-effective components: octenidindihydrochloride 0.1 g, 1-propanol (Ph.eur.) 30.0 g, 2- propanol (Ph.EUR.) 45.0 g. Other component: cleaned water.
