Description

With fresh fractures, speed is of the essence. Biplatrix is a quick-setting plaster bandage designed specifically for this type of primary care: It is easy to apply, highly moldable, and quickly provides stable immobilization—even with just a few layers, the final strength is high.

The bandage consists of a cotton backing with a special natural plaster mixture and is bright white. Soak-through is minimized, which keeps the work area cleaner. After about 30 minutes, the cast can bear partial weight; after 48 hours, it can bear full weight. Biplatrix is also available as a longette for custom cutting.

Summary

Biplatrix is the classic natural plaster for rapid initial treatment. When a plastic cast will be applied later, these qualities are essential: it can be applied quickly, is easy to shape, and is strong enough to support weight for transport after just half an hour.
