Cosmopor® Transparent, a discreet and waterproof transparent dressing with a wound pad for reliable wound protection, can be used in the postoperative care of slightly exuding wounds, as protection against bacterial penetration, and as a dressing for minor injuries. Cosmopor® Transparent is a self-adhesive transparent film dressing with a central absorbent wound pad. It consists of a semi-permeable, waterproof, and transparent polyurethane film coated with a polyacrylate adhesive. The wound pad is made of viscose fiber and is covered with a polyethylene mesh that serves as a non-adhesive wound contact layer.
