Description

Optiplaste-C is a longitudinally elastic adhesive bandage for support and decompression dressings on the capsuloligamentous apparatus, muscles, and joints. It stands out for its durability: high adhesive strength, water-repellent fabric, and approximately 60% longitudinal stretch.

Because the tape is radiolucent, an underlying fracture can be examined without removing the bandage. The backing consists of cotton coated with a zinc oxide-rubber adhesive. The tape contains natural rubber latex and colophony, which may trigger allergies.
